Weary about mystery meat?
Looking for non-GMO, grass-fed meat because it is more nutrient-dense? Skip the supermarket and get close to the source by getting high-quality meat directly from our farm.
The Stead Farm is a regenerative farm, providing nutritious grass-fed Katahdin lamb, pastured chicken & eggs, and tasty pork from pigs, raised in fresh air and tender care.
Katahdin sheep have meat with extraordinary flavor because it doesn't taste "gamey" and is similar to beef.
Since we started raising turkeys for our own family, we never could go back to store-bought turkey again! Our turkeys love spending their days on grass.
Chicken with rich flavor comes from the variety of food they eat. Our chickens are free-range and eat non-GMO grain.
Our pork comes from pigs that aren't raised on concrete in a dark building, but live by the forest air and sunshine. They romp around in weeds, bushes, and mud. Eating nutritiously, producing a high-quality meat.
We have a different breeds of chickens that live outside, and lay large, fresh eggs with nutritious, dark yolks. No factory-farm mass-produced eggs here.
Pick your own wild blueberries, local sweet corn from Gresczyk Farms, and grass-fed beef from Howling Flats Farm
The Stead Farm is truly a labor of love. We are Brent and Shannon, and we’re a small 64-acre farm with a roadside stand, working on transforming one of our barns into the farm store. Our family lives on our farm, thus our animals, fields, and forests are an everyday part of our lives. Treating our animals with respect by raising them humanely in nature is our high priority. All-around respect is something the world needs more of.
We are getting certified soon by A Greener World (AGW), to be Animal Welfare Approved, certified grass-fed, and certified Non-GMO. This is our way to stay transparent to our customers, that we are providing humanely raised meat. By being audited every year, by AGW, we are committing ourselves to their standard of ethical husbandry. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labor through the flavors and cooking experiences of our regeneratively raised meats.
